Burton Short Stop Ice House: Hottest New Spot in Town

Burton has a new hotspot. Ironically, it is called Burton Ice House. Located at 12400 FM 390 W
Burton, Texas 77835.

It’s safe to say that the soft opening was a success! Plenty of people showed up to hear Robert Zientek play, while visiting with friends.

Everything seemed to run very smoothly. People seemed happy, drinking some cold drinks and ordering food from Short Stop’s kitchen.

The owners were very welcoming and were happy when some of their family members showed up from out of town to cheer them on for their big night.

Family Friendly Atmosphere

There were plenty of families there celebrating the soft opening. The Ice House has a few board games set up to entertain the kiddos.

What To Order

If you ask my dad, he will say to order the cheeseburger well done. If you ask me, I’m going to tell you to order the Philly Cheesesteak. That Philly is so good. If you order off the secret menu, it’s called “Carrina’s Philly” and it comes with sliced beef, caramelizad onion, bell peppers, bacon bits, guacamole and extra spicy salsa. Just kidding. There is no secret menu (that I know of) and there is no “Carrina Philly”, but I bet you were considering it. Just order the regular Philly. So good! Fried fish is delicious too. Nice and crispy.

What’s Next?

I heard they are having a Super Bowl party on Sunday.
